Description: |
Electrified. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 19 June 1962. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #8635 and #8630. Both are AS-18M's built by the American Locomotive Company in 1957 and rated at 1,800 horsepower each. They are pulling a southbound mixed-cargo freight train through the North Philadelphia Passenger Station. |
